With over 40,000 hours of community service, Dr. Debra Clark is a champion for the community of Atlanta, GA and beyond. She is a recipient of a plethora of awards, including the President's Lifetime Achievement Award. She continues to forge new legislation for workforce development and green energy initiatives.
Co-authored by Dr. Debra Clark, The Senate Resolution 901, combined with the Health2Wealth Initiative was passed by Georgia Legislators in 2018, which further supported the Zero Waste Initiative written and passed in 1995. These critical measures led to the launch of environmental education events and expos throughout the state.
The Back2EDEN experience, founded by Dr. Debra Clark, showcases sustainable technologies in energy, agriculture, water conservation, construction, and economic development to create an emerging "Green Economy" workforce.
Hosted at the Georgia State Capital building, these expos were pioneered by the work of Dr. Clark and her partners. Measurable outcomes of these events included the completion of apprentice training modules, workforce placement, and the construction of alternative residential and commercial building models.
The 8R's of Recycling are key components in the modern waste reduction hierarchy. They reduce the consumption of new raw materials, which reduces energy usage. This reduces air pollution (from incineration) and water pollution (from landfilling) by reducing the need for conventional waste disposal, thereby lowering greenhouse gas emissions.
We are helping to reduce the global carbon footprint by upcycling shipping containers and repurposing them for alternative housing, office solutions, storage, and building materials that can be used in future projects. Upcycling not only reduces waste, but also helps reduce further environmental impact from resourcing new materials.
The solutions we propose are designed to add value, rather than strain, to the local and state economies. The political climate, however unstable, is prime for our movement toward an affordable, ecocentric, sustainable, and inclusive future.
We have the support of environmentally conscious legislators, land owners, architects, designers and builders. However, without funding we are at a stand still in our operational growth.
If you are interested in partnering with us, we would love to schedule an in-person or Zoom meeting with you to discuss our many ways to engage. Join our movement and get on the winning side of history.
Contact us and and come meet our team. Let's discuss how you can create and eco-community of your own.
